Fiberglass Rebar is a new kind of composite material, which is glass fiber, basalt fiber, carbon fiber as a reinforcement material, combines with epoxy (resin) and curing agent, then through the Molding process.
Advantage
1. High corrosion resistance -The fiberglass used by the rebar are durable materials, and they are molded through the composite process. The life span is up to 100 years. They can be used as permanent support materials. 2. A high tensile strength -The load is approximately double that of a steel bar with the same diameter 3. Low weight -The weight is only 1/4 that of a steel bar with the same diameter, therefore, the labor intensity is greatly reduced, and the transportation cost is reduced at the same time 4. Anti-static -It has no electrical conductivity, and no sparks will be produced when being cut, it's particularly suitable for high gas zones; 5. Non-flammable -It's non-flammable and has high thermal isolation; 6. Cuttability -It avoids damages to cutter heads and does not delay excavation
7. Save cost -Use this material as reinforcing bars for road and bridge, could reduce secondary repair cost.

Application
Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) rebars have various applications due to their advantageous properties compared to traditional steelreinforcement. Some applications of FRP rebars include:
1. Construction and Infrastructure
Used in the construction of bridges, highways, tunnels, and buildings where corrosion resistance is essential, particularly in areas prone to corrosion from de-icing salts, coastal environments, or chemical exposure.
2. Marine Structures Ideal for marine structures like docks, piers, seawalls, and waterfront constructions due to their resistance to corrosion from saltwater exposure.
3. Repair and Rehabilitation: Utilized in the repair and rehabilitation of existing structures, such as reinforcing or retrofitting concrete structures to extend their lifespan.
4. Roads and Pavements: FRP rebars are employed in concrete pavements and roads to enhance durability and minimize cracking, particularly in high-traffic or heavy-load areas.
5. Airport Runways and Taxiways: Due to their durability and resistance to environmental elements, FRP rebars are used in airport runways and taxiways to improve longevity and reduce maintenance requirements.
6. Railway Infrastructure: Utilized in railway sleepers, bridges, and various railway structures to enhance structural integrity and longevity.
7. Chemical Processing Plants: Employed in chemical processing plants and facilities where exposure to corrosive substances is a concern, providing structural support in aggressive environments.
8. Water Treatment Plants: FRP rebars are used in water treatment facilities where corrosion resistance is crucial due to exposure to chemicals and moisture.
9. Parking Structures Employed in parking garages and structures to minimize corrosion due to the presence of de-icing salts and environmental exposure.
10. Mining Applications: Used in mining applications for reinforcing concrete structures in harsh and corrosive mining environments.
FRP rebars offer numerous advantages, including high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, light weight, and non-magnetic properties, making them suitable for various applications across multiple industries.
